Brief Description: Advanced Control Module Mounting 1
Now I've got to position and mount a bunch of avionics modules. First is the Advanced Control Module (ACM). This is similar to the Vertical Power unit. It is a hub for power distribution and morel It couples trim to autopilot. It does wig wag. Most of my wires run to this. Then there are cables that run to the panel components.
This mounts on the pilot side of the subpanel. I also ran the ground wire.
The ECM has fuses instead of breakers or software breakers like VP-X. The logic is that if a fuse blows, there is a reason and you don't want to play with fuses while flying. I suppose. I've been flying my Piper for 20 years and never had a breaker reset issue.
