I bought the aluminum sheet that is sticky back from Van's and applied it to the upper cowl. This is meant to reflect back some of the engine heat to prevent or slow down cracking of the paint finish on the cowl. We will see. My Cherokee is really cracked up and I will do this next time I refinish it.
I wasn't able to get it on without wrinkles. The roller helped a lot.
