Brief Description:  Antennas 1

Thinking about what item to do next, the antennas seem like they need to be defined and wires run for them. I bought three from deltapopaviation. http://www.deltapopaviation.com/Home.html

Two comms and the transponder antenna. He gets good reviews that his antennas work great and cost a little less for experimental airplanes.

He includes a letter of suggested location. He says the transponder antenna goes forward just behind the firewall about 4 inches in from side. This puts it right behind the vent line port. So okay. He suggest the comm antennas go right behind the center bulkhead or wing spar box in the out board bay. So okay.

I did a bunch of reading about comm antenna placement because I want great reception for IFR. I really thought one antenna should be on the top, but could not find supporting arguments. So we will see. Later after flying I may have to move one to the top.

I drilled a template to use for drilling the fuselage. I was concered about ruin the fuselage by drilling thru it. But finally figured only the rivet heads would show and that's okay.
