The front of the lower baffle still had to be trimmed off to clear the cowl. But you can see in photo 1 it still rivets to the side baffle.

Then I made a cover for the whole inlet, instead of just two strips as the plans/drawings show. This was extra work to cut another square hole, which is hard, but it fits well, looks nice, and holds in the filter. And it still has only 6 screws to remove to change filters. Also note I used #8 screws everywhere on this instead of #6 along the rear edge per the drawings. I figured future maintenance guys will be glad everthing is the same screw. I hate figuring out which is a 6 or 8 or 10 on my Piper.
