Brief Description:  Cowl Instal 4 Fitting the Front of both cowls

This is the beginning of the confusion on fitting the cowl. Plans say to match up the front of the upper and lower cowl but I couldn't figure out if there was any sold reference point from which things could be measured. I made a round piece of carboard thinking that would help and not really. So I read a bunch of RV Forum stuff. A bit of help here in that I grew my mental vision of what was needed here. And now that I have finished the cowl fitting I know the secret.

Maket the bottom and top front match up and well as possible. DO NOT TRIP the TOP, just trim the bottom. You are trying to make the seam inbetween the top and bottom on the centerline of the prop. You'll have no problem triming the aft ends to fit but the front must fit as good as possible out of the box because it is hard to fix later.

You have to sand the inside of the front a lot so the two slide together overlapping. It is okay to let the top overlap on the outside of the bottom, but get the from part that goes right behind the propeller to line up as nice as possible.
