Brief Description: Engine Preparation 9 - Cutout Riveted on
I was still pondering because there were two big jobs ahead that I had not done yet.
1) Rivet the top fuselage ribs all together 2) Rivet the cutout into the firewall
But I realized I can't move forward without these in place. I'm building now to finish and things need to come together for good.
In order to put the cutout in I needed a firewall barrier, so I bout the silicon sealant from Aircraft Spruce. It is good for up to 2,000 degrees. And it is off white which is not as ugly as the red stuff.
So, not photos but the top frame is all rivetted now and the cutout is riveted on.
You can see the sealant on the corners of the cut out.
