I sprayed a lot more paint using the 1.4 nozzel on the ailerons. I can see right away that the paint is laying down smoother. I'm also keeping the gun closer to avoid any paint drops from flashing and drying before they get to the substrate. Substrate is painter's talk for the part being painted. Actally I think it means the raw metal part. But I'm spraying on top of primer.

The grey stripe is taped off.

I also moved slower. But I did get one run. That is a good sign that I'm putting down enough paint. I do'nt have photos, but it was easy to sand out that drip later and buff it right back to perfect shine.

These ailerons look very good, which is better than the pretty good that the flaps got. I think the bigger nozzel is the reason why. If I can finish the rist of the plane with this result I'll be more than happy.
