So next to be painted is the vertical fin (VF) and Rudder. Same prep, including removing all exposed primer. Had to buy another bag of rags.
Filled all the rivets with a swab of glaze. Actually I'm getting fast at it. I cut down my putty knife to be very thin and put on very little glaze per rivet. This minimizes sanding.
Oh I have not mentioned prior but after scratching the surface with grey scotchbrite and sanding rivet head glaze I take the parts out and wash them with soap and water to get all the oxidized material off the part. Then I wash hem liberally with de-waxer and de-greaser before painting.
Definition: Glaze is very fin putty. It is finer than mere bondo and makes for a smooth surface.
