Brief Description: Assembly of Horizontal Stabilizer Parts
Section 6: Empennage
Finally back to work – decided to wait for the replacement AN Bolts from Vans since I stripped the first ones. Took my time and tested the torque wrench – very touchy. Rebolted the rear spar with the correct torque and started the next step(s).
Started to assembly the horizontal stabilizer per instructions.
Working with the left HS, cleco’ed then rivet. Not completely happy with the ‘smiley faces’ and had to drill out a few. Completed both sides of the 601PP – left.
Started the right side of the HS – got the HS706 riveted and blind rivet HS707/708.
