Although I over torqued the bolts yesterday on the rear spar, looking ahead I could do some additional work on the skeleton on the horizontal stabilizer.
As I set the flush rivets on the HS0001 – one didn’t set (Photo) so I drilled it out and reset. All 4 look very good. Started work on the HS0005 and HS0006 but was having a difficult time setting these rivets.
Seems I used #40 drill on these and after referring to the plans on the rivets -4 was needed. So I drilled them out, took apart and deburred. The reassembled and started to rivet. Out of 8 rivets, 2 had smiley faces. Going to drill them out tomorrow – but after this performance – I thought I would stop for the day.
