I removed the windshield and cleaned-up on the holes, drilling them one size larger, so there's no pressure that would lead to cracking. I then re-installed and masked off, so about an inch is showing around it. I removed it, sanded the edges so paint would stick, cleaned it up with some alcohol, then painted a nice grey to match the interior.
