I finished the last side panel, which was just the ELT remote and aux 12v power... easy stuff. I went back to begin installing all the panels when I ran into a scary moment with the pilot's side panel. I have a lot going on in that panel, and at the angle it sits, it didn't want to go in with all the components installed. One of the fuses and the parking brake cable was hitting the hull. It took a modification to the cable and the way the fuse is wired, in order for it to work, but it's still tight. I'm happy I got it to work, but if I had it to do over again, I would be more careful about what is placed on the edge of that panel.
Anyway, I'm so glad to have my real panel installed now. I'll just have to take it all apart at some point to have them painted, but that will be at the end of the project when everything left gets sent to the paintshop.
