Begun installing on the avionics tray. First up is the Emergency Locator Transmitter, I installed on the far starboard side of the tray.
Adding these avionic modules could be just an easy two hours job, if just bolting down without much thought, but done the right way, can take a couple of days. I took the extra time to rivet down nutplates where every screw goes, so there's no nuts to deal with if I ever need to remove anything.
Since the ELT is longer than my avionics tray, I fabricated another sheet of aluminum to support it, and riveted that to the tray.

Test fit the nose before installing the ELT, so place it as far over as possible, without touching.

Created a tray, to fit the ELT tray, to fit on my avionics tray. Yay!
