Stalled on the wiring for a few days, I checked the humidity level, and it was low enough to apply the decals. Turned out great, perfect match to the yellow paint.
I also put on the rubber molding down the length of the plane to hide the rivets. The molding comes in black, but I had previously gotten the paint shop to paint it with the same blue paint, so it's invisible.
Another little thing I did was paint the stabilizer and wing wires with a grey primer, so they'll be less noticeable outside than the shiny silver. These wires still hint at a somewhat "ultralight" heritage that I'd like to downplay.
