Brief Description:  Section 34, putting on the wings

I'm on the final assembly of the plane. Me and two other friends put on the wings; definitely harder than I thought it was going to be. The second wing went faster with these lessons learned:
(1) Both front and aft spars must be pushed in place at the same time.
(2) Oil all parts that will fit together.
(3) Use different sized screwdrivers to wedge into the holes to help line up for the bolts.
(4) Really a four person job.

I thought ahead and ran the pitot and AOA tubing, plus the landing light wiring through the front struts, because it would have been impossible to do, once they are holding up the wings.

I took down the build hanger, because at only 12' wide, can no longer fit the winged plane. I got six auger anchors and concreted them around the pad the plane will sit on, to use as tie-down loops. Luckily no wind tonight, so I can just leave the plane as-is while the concrete sets. I did drive the plane onto the pad, though.
