Brief Description:  Section 31, finishing fuel connections

Section 31, finishing fuel connections. I installed my fuel filler. OK, this was tough, because it involves cutting a big hole in the plane, and also, because I'm not going by the book on this one. I don't have the factory fuel filler hose, which is long one with two 90 degree turns, which ends up taking up too much of the baggage cabin, and with those turns, surely takes long to fill the tank. I wanted a straight and clear tube, for fast fill, and to be able to see the fuel before it overflows onto my expensive paint job. The clear tube I got is very rigid, and I wanted to give the filler some support against the thin fiberglass, so I built a think aluminum bracket to support it from the inside. I had to ensure the filler was well above the fuel tank, and where I put it, I needed to consider if it would be in the way of the future sliding canopy. Although I was scared to make the cut, with so much to consider, I'm really happy with the decision I made to put it there.
