Brief Description:  Section 10, installing rudder pedal pads

This is the first thing I've messed up on, where I feel the need to order a replacement from the factory (luckily, they're cheap!). After making the rudder pedals, the last step is to glue the pads on to them. The manual says to clamp them down until the glue dries. Well, that works, that makes it stay, but what also stays are all the clamp marks. The first one was really bad, then on the second, I used several flat brackets, which was better, but still left permanent marks. For the third and fourth, I created a flat aluminum plate and L-bracket to hold the top down, which worked perfect. I know these are somewhat hidden under the dash, but my bare feet demand perfection, so I've got a couple of new pads on the way to do the pilot side right.

UPDATE: Another builder mentioned just letting the cement sit and get tacky for 10-15 minutes before attaching, and there's little need for clamps; it'll stick well.
