Brief Description: Build hanger complete!

Originally, I wanted to construct a hanger to build the plane in AND park it in when finished, but that’s an entirely differently level of pain north of $25,000, and that would stall the actual building of the plane, so I instead decided to put up a ShelterLogic 12’ x 25’ x 11’ garage. It’s a new design for them called “ShelterTube” and wind rated to over 80mph. I paid $1200, plus $300 shipping, and am highly impressed with the strength and quality for the money. My wife and I alone were easily able to construct it in one weekend. I have string LED lights I’ll run all across the ceiling to light it up nicely from all angles.
This will house it until the last step of attaching the main wings. When the plane is finished, I’ll tear down the shelter and either sell it, or move it elsewhere in the yard. The Searey will be parked and tied-down on the concrete slab, and I’ll build a canopy to protect it from the sun.
Next project to keep me busy until the kit arrives, is to build a rolling cradle for the main hull.
