I'm waiting for one little piece to finish my parking brake before locking down the nose and working on the windshield, so I moved on to get the sponson floats done. It's been about seven months since I've opened the aircraft assembly manual, because I've been working on the wiring and avionics, which are not part of the manual. It was kind of nice to be back working from the manual, because I could simply just follow the instructions to completion, rather than constantly solving problems and thinking through vast scenarios, which I've been doing for so long.
Finishing the sponson section was extremely easy, and only took three hours.
