Brief Description:  Creating a locking hatch

The nose has an access panel that most people just screw shut, but I wanted to be able to get in and out of it easier, and maybe create a front trunk area. I fiberglassed in some aluminum slats to hold at the front, and installed a locking marine hatch pull at the top. I also needed to thicken the fiberglass in that area, plus thicken the area it locks against in the nose. Really happy with how it turned out. Soon, I've got to install a cabin heater and a lot of electronics under that nose, so it not certain that I'll have room for that trunk yet.
