Brief Description: final fitting of the turtle deck
Finally fitted the turtle deck for the final time and riveted into position. 1/2" filler tape was fitted before deck. All rivets had stainless steel washers riveted on the inside. I could get to all inside rivetss due to the inspection hatches fitted at the rear of the deck. All rivets and washers were dipped in Ardrox before fitting. First row of rivets were riveted at 3" spacing with a second lot riveted in between at 1.5" spacing.
Used paintable silicone under deck at trim cable and rear root support where it contacts boom tube to ensure sealing.
