As I am about to drill holes in stringers I wanted to make sure that the boom tube was sitting in the correct position on the transom. Cut rear of turtle deck where it sits on the boom tube then lay the turtle deck in position on the hull. Ground away more of transom where boom tube rests as I was concerned when first cut that the boom tube would sit too high when fuel hose used as rest was fitted. Seems OK now for drilling stringer holes but will double check when fuselage is in hull and turtle deck can be fitted before final bolting of fuselage into hull.
