Measured length of actuator at full retract and fully extended positions and manufactured 2 lengths of alloy flatbar so as to simulate the position of the actuator in the full extension and retraction position. I constructed the new actuator attachment bracket for the right hand side from stainless steel (factory brackets are constructed from alloy and I believe too weak for this application) and repositioned it so that at full retraction (gear down) there is adequate over centre and at full extension (gear up) the actuator clutch kicks in before contacting the lower bulkhead
