Brief Description: Closing in on wiring completion
How can three images show all the wring done this week? Well here is what got done.
1. Finalized the power and ground runs, crimped connectors, installed supports and tied bundles together. There are 22 ground connections at the firewall. I have three more to go.
2. Trying to ensure all the bundles are combed out so they are not a tangled mess of wires. That takes more time than you would think, but when you start running wires over, under and through structure they can get tangled pretty quickly. But pulling wire back out and re-installing was worth it.
3. The fuse panels are mounted to a shelf that is hinged for access in flight. This requires a certain amount of slack in the wiring to allow the shelf to move. As you can see in images two and three the bundles are not tight with just enough slack. Too much would allow wires to chaff.
