Finished the initial condition inspection. Had a few items to finish before the airworthiness inspection. The cowl hinge pins need a method of security so that has been completed. The lower cowl is subject to heat from the exhaust and potential for oil contamination.
To prevent both those I covered the lower portion with an adhesive back aluminum foil. It will provde a slight heat barrier but hopefully a better oil barrier. There may be a need to increase the area slightly, but that will be determined during flight test.
