I asked my friend Doug Jones to come back and inspect my airplane from firewall to tail wheel. I want someone else to try to find all the ugly and incorrect work I have completed. Now is the time to fix it.
With that in mind I started the process myself. I was glad I did. There was a bad rivet in the HS at the left side. It had a nice smile. I drilled it out and replaced it with a cherrymax. Doug had made a comment about the aft edge of the HS last time. So I spent 15 minutes working over the edge.
I walked up and down the aircraft looking at all the side skins and inside the aircraft inspecting rivets. I found ten or so AN426-3s that needed to be set a little better. There weren't bad rivets, just not fully set. I found two missing rivets just above the opening for the wing spar, both -4s. So I riveted those. Fortunately, they were easy to get to.
I believe I need to complete this process several more times looking for things to fix.
