Today I continued to the chase toward the perfect canopy. Round and round I went chasing a few thousands of an inch difference. After about an hour and a half I decided it was not going to get better. With everything clamped in place I started drilling rivet holes, to include the splice between the aft and forward canopy frame (image three.) That splice needed a small angled spacer created, if you look at image three on the right side you can see the spacer.
Everything is currently apart ready for deburring, countersinking and priming. After taking it apart I realized there were eight rivet holes I did not drill. So tomorrow I will put it back together and drill the eight holes. Then take it apart for deburring, countersinking and priming.
