Brief Description:  Pitot tube plumbing

I laid out the pitot tube plumbing and quickly discovered the SafeAir1 kit was really in need of another fitting. As the two lines come into the wing from the pitot tube, I need a 90 degree bend or connector so the nylon tubes can connect (see image 1.) Some folks just bend the pitot tubes to a ninety degree curve, I am concerned that tight of a curve would have made it difficult to remove the pitot tube. What I really needed was a 90 connector.

I went to the SafeAir1 kit and went through all the connectors. There were not any that had a female 1/8th npt connection as well as the slide on nylon connection. The best I could do was a straight line connection (see image two.) After search Vans I finally found a business that sells the correct connectors. I ordered the 90 degree connectors. Once they come I will cut tubing down a little more, make the correct flares on the end and this will be finished.
