I did not have the reemer for the wing spar so I did a few other tasks to keep moving forward. The flap hinge pins have to be secured so they won't come out in flight. Vans recommends two methods, using safety wire through the skin or drilling a hole in the aileron attachment. I saw a third method on VansAirforce.com. I split the hinge pin in two and cut it to size. I left enough so I could bend it into an Ell to make it easier to slide in and out. If you look at image one you can see the Ell shape. To secure them I will install a nutplate behind the W-721 flap brace and use a 509-8R8 screw and a retention tab to hold them in place.
Next I moved to the fuel tank attachment bracket. I clecoed both in place and realized it was time to head home. A lot of progress this week.
