Today after 12 straight work days I finally got back to the hanger. I have today and maybe Sunday afternoon to get back to work. Today I finally assembling the aft fuselage. It starts with riveting the to aft most bulkheads (F-711 and F-712) to the tail skin (F-779.) Two things were apparent immediately; riveting is a diminishing skill and the curve of F-779 does not support easy riveting. I think I drilled out four rivets. One of them twice. But at the end of the day I was happy with the final results. Tomorrow night and Sunday afternoon I plan on getting the skins on this portion of the fuselage.
