Brief Description:  F-706 bulkhead

Started on the next bulkhead, the remain bulkheads look like I can get them done much more quickly. I am trying to use the remaining time from my vacation to get all the bulkheads primed and completed before going back to work. Starting on the 4th of January I have a 12 day shift, so not much is going to get done during that time.
On the 706 bulkhead I started clecoing everything together to get a feel for what needed to be fabricated and how it all fits together. The plans are pretty clear in places, but not so much in other areas. So I have learned to just start putting things together to comfirm what I think the plans are telling me. As an example, there are two structural angle aluminum parts to cut to size. You can see the first one in the center section of photo two. Not hard to make, but there is an overhang that has to match the second AA part the will fit 90 degress to the first one. To get the overhang and resulting rivets in the right location, its easier for me to cleco and clamp it all together and then drill. Slows me down, but I like the outcome a whole lot more. I plan on finishing this bulkhead tomorrow. Now its time to get home and get ready for New Years Eve with some friends.
