After finishing the top portion of the bulkhead I drilled to size four nutplates for riveting. Then it was disassemble everything and finish prepping for primer. Sanding, dimpling, countersinking, etc etc. I finished up by priming all the various pieces with zinc chromate and let them dry. The primer dries fairly fast, so while it was drying I was reviewing the next step to cut the slots for the locking fingers of the canopy. After the primer dried I waste the time to cleco everthing together. Sometimes its good to the see the part together before it is riveted. Next time its the slot for the canopy locks and then rivet everything together and I am finished with this bulkhead.
