More small projects on the fuselage as I get closer to closing things up. The gusset in image one goes between the forward aft skin, the F-705 bulkhead and the J-channel stringers. As the skin is to be dimpled this needed to be countersunk and the aft edge needed to be beveled to allow a smooth transition under the skin. Using the countersink cage and a rasp file this went fairly quickly. After prepping for paint, I clecoed it in place with the fuselage skin to check aft edge and found a pre-punched hole in the skin that was not drilled to the J-stringer. Fixed that.
This was followed by dimpling the aft upper skin and painting a portion of the forward upper skin. The portion that was painted sits forward of the aft baggage compartment bulkhead. It is easier to paint it now.
