Spent the last few days visiting with my son, He is headed off for another deployment so the airplane could definitely wait. Today I worked on adding structural strength to the two armrests. Although this is not called for in the plans, several folks have mentioned the armrests can be bent by unsuspecting passengers getting into and out of the cabin. They look like great foot steps.
I added a small angle and an aluminum bar underneath each armrest. Just enough support to prevent a dent from someone stepping on it. It won't support 250lbs, but I am not interested in adding enough support (and weight) to handle that.
I also worked briefly on the left F-7114 gusset. It will need a slight amount of work for a better fit.
