Brief Description:  Forward floor

Today I managed two hours on the RV. Now that the seats are done I moved on to the forward floor area. There are several pieces that needed to be fitted. There is the center floor cover that is connected to the heat exchange on the firewall as well as the fuel value cover. A few nut plates needed to be installed but most of the time was spent reviewing fit and finish.

The center section covers the fuel lines running from the fuel valve forward to the firewall. It sits between to floor ribs. By itself it is relatively easy to fit and finish. You have to drill through the sides of the ribs to attach the cover. I have decided to add a false floor on either side to allow for added insulation in the floor. Those false floors will also need to be attached to the same ribs as the center cover. I will need to fabricate some angled brackets that will hold nut plates. Nothing difficult, but I would rather do it right the first time.
