Brief Description:  Second seat back and more

Work has been keeping me from the project. Today I focused on working on the seats. They are taking longer than I imagined they would take. Today I fabricated the pilot's seat back. That part went faster after gaining the experience of the copilot's seat. The first image shows both backs just sitting in the aircraft. I chose to finish the co-pilot's first, no particular reason why.

I pulled it from the aircraft and drilled everything to the final size of 1/8. Then came the standard take it apart, deburr, clean and get ready for riveting. I have purposely not primed or painted the seat back. The entire back will be covered by the seat cushion, so primer or paint will just add weight. The one piece that may get painted is the support from the seat back to the F-705 bulkhead. In image three you can see I drilled holes to make it slightly lighter. If the seat covers do not cover this area I will prime and paint the support. One more seat back to go.
