Brief Description:  Side jobs continue

I have been trouble shooting my compressors. I have two, both broken. The older one I got at HarborFrieght (I know better now) needs a flapper valve and gasket. Unfortunately, HF no longer supports this model and does not carry any parts. I am still searching, but I may have to hand frabricate the parts. The other compressor is a Kobalt from Lowes (I know better now.) It runs for 15 to 20 seconds before popping its own circuit breaker. Not the breaker on the power circuit, the one on the compressor. I have been troubleshooting it for a couple of weeks. Next I am going to replace the circuit breaker. Anyway this has kept me from riveting. So I have been dealing with several side jobs to keep the project moving. In no particular order....

The first image shows the inside of the baggage compartment where the backing material for the step holes attach. I finished riveting the plug to the backing (with a hand squeezer) and plan on riveting that in place when I have compressed air.

The second image shows one of the armrests clecoed in the fuselage. Several folks have mentioned that some passengers use this as a step to get out and bend it. They have recommended that you add additional support underneath. I fabricated an additional support from the remaining J-channel. Of course, the photo doesn't show the J-channel. When I pull it out to rivet the channel I will take a better picture.
