Brief Description:  Fuselage work continues - 1

Fuselage work continues with the final riveting of the F-714 aft deck and the forward gussests from the longeron to the firewall. I had one bad rivet from yesterday to drill out and one bad rivet from today to take out as well. The one from yesterday was created by grabbing the wrong size rivet and bending it over. The one from today was an AN470 that I put a nice smile into the head. Oh well, what can you do but drill the out.

After lunch I started to work on the aft canopy decks (the canopy deck, part of the canopy latch mechanism, the F-705 bulkhead and the longerons all nest together right at the F-705 bulkhead. There was some minor customization required as and many of the rivets are AN426, so the aft canopy deck needed to be dimpled and the longeron countersunk to accept those rivets. The right side is ready for priming, will start on the left side next time.
