After completing the aft deck I went to work on the forward gussets that attach the longerons to the structure on the firewall. Initially I had to layout the rivet line in accordance with the plans. drill initial holes in the gussets and then using those holes as guides, drill to the longerons. After completing the drilling, off they came for edging, deburring and priming. Later I riveted them to the fuselage using my squeezer. There were five rivets my squeezer yoke would not reach. I will hand rivet those tomorrow while I am doing the aft deck.
