I had been putting off the final steps of finishing the tail wheel conversion. Not sure why, but today I decided to get the rest of the riveting done. I had both sides of the last two bulkheads to finish after replacing the F-712 bulkhead. The bottom of that bulkhead (at the top of picture 2 and 3) had six rivets that I could not reach the shop head. Had I built this before putting the skins on I would have been able to get in there with a bucking bar. The rivets were supposed to be AN426 3-3.5, I went ahead using Cherrymax rivets in place of the six rivets. Structurally, the Cherrymax will be stronger anyway. Not a problem.
The rest of the rivets went in without any issues. I did have three holes that were slightly oversized. There was plenty of edge space so I went ahead and moved up to AN426 4s. The two rivets on each side that you see in photos 2 and 3 are for the rudder stop. I will install that later.
