Brief Description:  Final prep

Today I reviewed the plans and my punch list of items needed to be completed before taking the fuselage apart. There were a half a dozen rivet holes to drill in the baggage compartment Then I went through the rivet call outs and marked all the rivet holes that are NOT dimpled or counter-sunk. I also marked those locations on the tail that get riveted now. There are several left open to rivet to the top skin later.

I have only one day left for building before I head off to the Army's fixed wing course. I am going to try to get the skins dimpled before I go. We shall see. The big news is I have decided to make this a tail dragger instead of the nose wheel. It will require a small mod to the tail, but not much else. Now is the time to make the change if I am going to make it.

I have the parts list that I need to order and the parts ready to return. I will get that done before I leave.
