Brief Description:  Finishing the rudder and brake pedals 01

I read Dan Checkoway's method of installing his brake pedals and decided to copy his technique. I pulled the rudder pedal mechanism from the aircraft and clamped it to the workbench (see photo 1.) The rudder pedals need to be in a neutral setting to mark and drill the attaching hole for the master cylinders. I attached a plumb bob to the rudder pedals and adjusted both sets until they matched the plumb (See photo 2 - taken from the top looking down towards the left pedal.) Once they were aligned I marked the hole for the attaching bolt for the master cylinders. You can see the master cylinders attached in photo 3. The bottom bolt was the one I was working on. Once completed I went ahead and finished the washer spacinig, torqued the nuts and added the cotter pins on all eight bolts. The next step is to mark and drill the attaching bolts in the lower longerons.
