Brief Description:  Finishing fuselage pre-assembly

Today I double checked the front floor and stiffners just to make sure everything was all right. The on to the baggage compartment. There were a couple of bulkheads to install and drill; followed by part of the baggage compartment internal skin. One piece is set up now for drilling, the other later after the aircraft is flipped back over. The second on is also installed with nutplates so it can be removed for access to the flap mechanism. After that was drilled in placed I slowly reviewed all the other rivet lines to make sure all were drilled to size. There were a few remaining and I worked over those for an hour or so.

Finally, there are several different holes that needed to be drilled. A one inch hole for fuel lines, etc, etc. I spent several minutes finishing that task. When those were completed I believe I have reached a point of dis-assembly. I want to make sure everything is completed before I take it apart. I am going to spend the rest of the day reviewing plans and instructions to make sure all is done, build a checklist of tasks to complete after I take it apart (what gets dimpled, counter sunk, primed, primed and painted, nutplates left to install.) Then on Monday or Tuesday I will take it apart.
