After working all weekend, I managed to get to the hangar today. I continued with the pre-assembly process of mounting the side and bottom skins, the firewall and all the assorted longerons. There were a whole series of little steps to be accomplished. First check the firewall to ensure its in the right location (5/8" from the front edge of the F-770 skins.) After double checking I drilled the firewalll flanges to the F-770 skin, which included drilling the longerons to the firewall bracket. You would have thought this would all go pretty fast, but stainless steel is hard and the drilling was slow. I went through two drill bits (one broke from to much pressure and another just got too dull.)
