Today I started on the rudder assembly. The first step to to cut stiffners from alum extrusion. This took longer than I anticipated as the stiffners are pre-punched to match the rudder skins. You would think this would be a simple process or maybe I an just simple minded. Once they were cut to length I need to trim away the excess material. Of course, the rudder is wedge shaped with the trailing edge being the smallest part of the wedge. The stiffners need to be trimmed so the rudder skins can be mated together to create this wedge. Not necessary difficult just time consuming. After trimming to the correct size and shape I clecoed them to the appropriate skin (photo 3.)
