Brief Description:  Fiberglass work done - 03

Here are the elevator tips. My intent was to blend the fiberglass tip but not bury the rivets in the elevator. It is hard to see in the photos, but all the 426 rivets are visible. It is a metal plane after all. I also wanted the bolts that hold the counterweight in place accessible. There are two bolts, the inboard bolt is the only one that you can get to the nut. But this allows me to add weight if needed when I balance the elevators. The left elevator has the trim motor, so it may need some additional weight. The right will probably need a little weight removed.

The second image is the left elevator. If yoo look closely you can see the tape over the top of the bolt heads. Image three is also the left tip. This tip has many, many many pin holes so I am using a product called UV Smooth Prime to attempt to fill them (the white stuff.)
