Brief Description: The cowling chronicle continues - 07
Out of town for three days so today was catch up day. Installed the lower cowling and marked the areas around the gear legs that needed removal, removed the cowling and cut the openings. While the cowl was off I installed three Skybolt fasteners on both sides of the lower opening. I ended up with about 3" separation between fastener openings. Rivet edge distance made me end up with slightly different separation on the fasteners. It is on the bottom of the cowling so if someone crawls under there and complains, well too bad.
After the fasteners were clecoed in place I reinstalled the cowling and marked the aft edge so I could trim it. Off came the cowling, I trimmed the edge, put the cowling back on, checked the fit, took the cowling off, made some minor corrections, put the cowling back on.......
