Brief Description:  Update - 01

I have not posted on my build log for some time now. I was out of town for awhile, but really I just have not been sitting down and entering what has been going on. And a lot has been done since my last post.

All the electrical and avioncis are installed and tested. Remaining is the official transponder check.

All hydraulic systems are completed and tested. The brakes have been bleed. The fuel system has been completed and tested. Those tests include the fuel level float calibration for the EFIS. Each tank calibrated in 2 gallon increments to 20 gallons, both in the ground and flight attitudes

Also completed was the ground fuel flow test. The engine is a 180 HP engine and there is a specific calculation required (((0.55 * HP) * 1.25) / 60) / 6 which equals 0.34375 gpm. For the curious the equation values are:

0.55 - a constant
HP - rated horsepower
1.25 - a pressurized fuel system must deliver 125% of demand (the first three give you pounds per hour.
60 - to calculate pounds per minute
6 - to calculate gallons per minute (6 lb per gallon)

So 0.55 * 180 = 99 * 1.25 = 123.75 / 60 = 2.0625 / 6 = 0.34375 gpm is the standard (20.625 gph)
My pump delivers 0.50 gpm (30.0 gph) or 143% of the standard. We pumped fuel out of each tank for a specificed period of time and measured the output.
