Creeping along like I care for my wife and working on the plane when I can. I fabricated a bracket to attach to the engine. A support will run from this bracket over to the oil cooler attaching point for further support.
I also finished sanding the ramps on the upper cowling as well as primed the upper cowling to protect the fiberglass. The snorkle extension is finished. I had to apply two layers of microslurry to fill pinholes and get a smooth surface. No one will really see it but I wanted a smooth finish.
Now I can apply UV Smooth Prime to finish the exterior
