Brief Description:  Closing in on canopy finished

Sanded the repair area and shot some primer to look for low spots. I found an area right by the canopy that had some small air pockets. So I sanded that down and did another layup. My new mantra is "What does it look like from three feet?" I should finish the sanding and priming tomorrow.

While that is curing I moved on to other tasks. The back window needed to be trimmed to final size. I want to install this with Sikaflex as well. I trimmed it down to a 1" overlap with my dremel tool, then sanded the cut area with 120 and 220 grit. I still need to polish it with 600 but there will be some more trimming. Now that the window will go into place I can start making final measurements and cuts. The leading / forward edge is not straight, the right side needs to be trimmed back. The bottom of the right window has more than 1" of material below the side skin. You might think so what? You will be able to see the bottom edge of the plexiglass so I want a consistent distance around the bottom edge.
